Women of Worth (WOW) exists to promote the growth, empowerment, and safety of girls and women.
We stand for Justice, Equality, and Change.
• We celebrate who we are today.
• We anticipate the changes yet to come.
• We participate in the fight for a better tomorrow.
WOW was established by a group of women determined to challenge a society steeped in gender-discriminatory practices and attitudes. Some of these toxic practices, often excused as cultural norms, strip away human dignity and worth. With zero tolerance for abuse and violence against women, and by helping communities celebrate healthy aspects of culture and filter toxic norms , WOW is committed to breaking stereotypes that limit women’s intrinsic value and potential.
We dream of a world where women and men, girls and boys exist as co-equals.
Vision
To see women and girls reach their fullest potential by creating pathways to safe and equal spaces where they can flourish.
Verticals

Our Story
How We Started
Women Of Worth (WOW) as a movement was birthed in 2006 by a team of Indian women passionate to combat gender discriminatory practices in our society. These women rose up to the challenge of being the change in an environment where attitudes hindered the growth, empowerment and safety of women.
Discriminatory practices and attitudes are often excused or overlooked as being a cultural or masculine phenomenon without considering the repercussive loss of human dignity and worth.
With zero tolerance for abuse and violence against women and adolescent girls, WOW works tirelessly to break stereotypes that cripple a woman’s true potential.
What The Future Looks Like
WOW believes in the new woman, who is free from shackles, stereotypes and limitations imposed by negative trends in culture or tradition and we dream of a world where women and men, girls and boys co-exist in true equality.
- We celebrate who we are today.
- We anticipate the changes that are yet to be.
- We participate in the fight for a better tomorrow.
