We Stand For Justice, Equality & Change

Our mission is to empower women across cultures and ethnicities to stand up for justice, equality and change in all facets of life and society, in both local and global contexts.

We accomplish this through Advocacy, Training and Rehabilitation.

Women Of Worth (WOW) as a movement was birthed in 2006 by a team of Indian women passionate to combat gender discriminatory practices in our society. These women rose up to the challenge of being the change in an environment where attitudes hindered the growth, empowerment and safety of women. Discriminatory practices and attitudes are often excused or overlooked as being a cultural or masculine phenomenon without considering the repercussive loss of human dignity and worth. With zero tolerance for abuse and violence against women and adolescent girls, WOW works tirelessly to break stereotypes that cripple a woman’s true potential.

We believe in the new woman, who is free from shackles, stereotypes and limitations imposed by negative trends in culture or tradition and we dream of a world where women and men, girls and boys co-exist in true equality.

What We Do

  • ENLIGHTEN women to recognise their innate value, worth and significance
  • ENCOURAGE women to live up to their full potential
  • EMPOWER women by creating channels of safety, growth & equality in society
  • EQUIP women with skills to live the change they hope to see

We Are A Government Registered NGO

As a registered non-profit (2008), WOW stands up for Justice, Equality and Change.  We seek to find solutions to the issues behind women’s lack of self-worth and safety. We strive to find solutions to the highly prevalent issues of abuse and violence in all forms by challenging discriminatory attitudes and advocating for change in policies. We train women and girls to break cycles of abuse by empowering them to speak up and reach out for help.
